FDXvirtual is not a real airline or a shipping company. We are a virtual airline.
A virtual airline is a group of aviation enthusiasts who simulate the real-world operations of an actual airline (in our case, FedEx Express) in consumer flight simulators such as Prepar3D, Microsoft Flight Simulator and X-Plane 11 and 12.
Our schedules are built from real-world schedule data and updated regularly. We also run a selection of historic schedules, so you can fly past FedEx routes in aircraft that are no longer in service. (The Mighty Dog will always stick around, even after FedEx retires it.)
Our standard operating procedures (SOPs) are built on real-world operations, and we score each pilot report (PIREP) against them. Pilots can use a growing library of documentation and checklists to plan and fly.
We run on vAMSYS, with SimBrief built in. You book a flight and get a full briefing package, and the Pegasus tracker records the flight and files your pilot report (PIREP) for you.
We have no CEO and no pretend job titles. We’re aviation enthusiasts building a virtual airline that’s realistic where it counts and relaxed where it doesn’t.
FDXvirtual is part of the Fusion Virtual Airline Alliance (FVAA). Pilots from all our member airlines fly group events and focus-city events together, plus events on VATSIM, the online air traffic control network. Between us we log thousands of hours a week.
